Job Description:
The human resource representative is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports. Assist with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. Acts as liaison to employees and managers. Responsibilities: Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, management, and a variety of companies. Submit the online applicant investigation requests and obtains new employee background checks and drug testing results. Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. Submits online E-Verify investigation requests on all new hires. Create new employee personnel records and scan documents into appropriate folders. Assists in administration of the compensation program; processes performance appraisals and other payroll changes or corrections. Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Conduct benefits enrollment for new employees. Reviews benefits with employees and processes cancellation or changes. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions Update HRIS database records and process paperwork for new hires, terminations and other status changes. Maintains electronic personnel records; performs data entry of pertinent personnel information and ensures proper documentation is maintained.
Qualifications:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in: Human Resources; Strong communication (verbal + written); Organization & multitasking; Attention to detail; Discretion/confidentiality; Basic understanding of HR practices and employment laws (or willingness to learn); Customer service mindset; MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SHRM-CP or PHR + plus
